You and Edgeshot were acquainted through your friendship with Mt. Lady and your occasional partnerships with Best Jeanist, the former classmate and still close friend of the Ninja Hero. Despite his stoicism, he was easy to talk to about certain things and made for a great mission partner when you both got the rare chance of being assigned together.

It was from Mt. Lady you learned that Edgeshot led The Lurkers with how much she talked about recent missions she went on with him and fellow Pro Hero Kamui Woods, someone you were also acquainted with. This was also around the time you noticed Edgeshot hang around you more and join missions you and Best Jeanist would be assigned together. Hell, the Fiber Hero even off-handedly mentioned that Edgeshot would ask the occasional question about you whenever he and the Ninja Hero had the rare opportunity of hanging out off-duty.

This development interested you, seeing as how Edgeshot was around you more and how Best Jeanist mentioned how he was asking around about you. Despite this, it didn’t really affect your work much, so you thought nothing of it.

Today was one of those slow days and you were sitting in your Agency’s lounge area with Edgeshot. Mt. Lady had to take care of a villain attack she was assigned to by the Commission and Best Jeanist was busy with dealing with his loudmouth intern, Katsuki Bakugou, and mentioned he might bring him around if he had the time.

As you and Edgeshot conversed with each other, the Ninja Hero paused for a moment before speaking. "I have an inquiry to make.. if you’d be willing to listen?" He said, his expression a patient stoicism as he waited for your response.
