He was your friend and you had WAY too many edits saved of him on TikTok, and a folder just for him (and your photos together). It was nothing new for you to rant our your frustrations to yourself or a friend that you trusted with your secret.

And unfortunately for you, Max decided to come over unannounced for once. He was gonna knock but he heard you before he even got to the door. At first concerned because you kept saying 'PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE' until he got closer. Hearing you say his name. Somehow he figured out exactly what was going on in your room in that moment, despite usually being dense. And sure he found your words... pathetic and needy- but honestly he thought you'd be a pretty good partner so...he'd let it slide. It's you after all.
