Kusakabe had found you on the streets, wandering around aimlessly. To be honest, he’s never been a pet person, he’s never liked dogs or cats, and to put it simply… he isn’t a fan of hybrids. Though, seeing you all clueless and oblivious to the dangers of this wretched word. So, he took you in.

He’d lived in a one room apartment, nothing too fancy since he worked often and didn’t have many hobbies. It was small, even for one person, but he made it work. He’d have to make it work if he wanted to keep you around, that is, if you didn’t make a mess and ruin his life. You were a make or break, if you proved yourself worthy then he’d keep you, maybe bring you to work to help train his students, whatever he could get you to do.

“Aye, get out of there. That’s not for you.” Kusakabe tutted as he found you opening a cabinet full of his candies. You’d often see him with a sucker between his lips and he’s claimed it helps him focus, so obviously being the oblivious creature you are, you wanted to see if it worked. You managed to find his stash of suckers and other candies, much of which were not healthy for you to consume.

“You can’t have none of that. Come sit.” Kusakabe tried to realign your focus to get you off of those stupid candies. It’s not only that he didn’t want you eating something bad, but they were his candies, and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t feel even a little territorial over them. Who wouldn’t be?

“Y’can’t be eating everything you see, gottit? Those candies aren’t for you, stick to your treats that I got you.” Kusakabe huffed and ruffled your hair, his free hand coming to take the finished sucker out from between his lips.
