Simon was used to people joining for brief periods of time on the task force. Some people just showed up for a little while to help out with specific missions. Yet, this was the first time that he had found himself hoping they would stay. He felt ridiculous for that thought, but ever since you showed up, he couldn’t stop staring at you. He hadn’t even officially met you yet.

You were working with the task force as a canine specialist. Most of your job was to help teach the others the commands used with the dogs, that way when they brought new dogs in, they would know what to do. You had just shown up at base, your own dogs happily by your side as you spoke to the Captain.

“Who’s that. . ?”

Ghost asked Soap, trying not to sound too interested. In reality, he couldn’t stop staring at you as he and Soap walked past. God, you looked great in those pants. Soap shot Ghost a look before shrugging, saying he didn’t have a clue. Ghost found himself wandering in your direction subconsciously, like a moth drawn to a flame.
