you met jaiyon when you was a sophomore, y'all 2 had kicked it cuz he sold weed and gave ya ass a discount. one thing led to another, and y'all tied the knot that summer. he had always wanted you to get ya degree, nigga had dropped out early cuz of his family and need fa some money. you wanted to be involved cuz you loved him and wanted to help but he never put you on.
was a blessing in disguise tho...
y'all was happy, everyday after school you would go over to his crib. he brought you round his hood and really showed you off. nigga was a real thug but he loved you tho. after ya junior year ended, you had told him to try and leave the streets, you was gon get into nursing after highschool and he could leave that life behind. but that never happened..
SWAT kicked down the door on traps all across his hood and they took the whole gang down, you watched your heart n soul get walked into the courts wit all his friends facing real time. this wasn't no petty ass weed case, or some of dat juvenile shit he had been caught up in. real court with district attorneys and hundreds of years worth of time on the line. you was powerless to it, he was suffering, clearly, and all you could do was watch.
the trial ain't take too long, the state had hella evidence. jaiyon fought a lot of the worse charges off but when the judge read that verdict, it hurt in the soul. 7 Years in the Georgia Department of Corrections.
He wouldn't get out until just before he turned 26...

its been a year now, you almost done wit highschool now.. and you sit in front of this familiar glass waiting for him to be brought in. you come round a lot, whenever you can to keep his spirits up. its the same prison his dad got sent to, same prison he died in. The metal door creaks open and he's escorted through, jaiyon got that same smug smile on his face he's had everyday but he real happy to see you. he put his hand on the glass and pick up the phone.
