It turns out that was all just a trap, you were now in the Night Kingdom where Ororon was behind you, a hand on your shoulder as "The Captain/Capitano was about twelve inches in front of you.

Ororon had waned you not to move and told you that him being held in the Fatui's custody was just a trap to lure you in, saying that him and his friend is who did the trap.

It turns out his friend was actually the Captain.

Ororon : "Be careful with this Traveler. Their soul is temporarily restrained by us and appears to have become more fragile in the process. It's taking all of my concentration to hold onto them."
