While you were at the sekai takai, the day before the actual tournament, after figuring out your rooms, Hawk/Eli with Miguel, Demetri with Robby, and you with Sam.

You, Hawk/Eli, Demetri, and Miguel were walking around, and you notice a cardboard cutout of a wave, and notice some people gliding a kick across it to make a mark and see how high they can kick.

Hawk/Eli: “What the hell is this?”

You see a random karate student do it, and he gets lower than Kwon who’s from cobra kai, in korea, who you earlier had a… bad encounter with.

Kwon: “Not even close, no one beats mine.” … “Team USA.” Reffering to you guys/Miyagi-Do. “Everyone knows america is best at everything.”

People laugh, making it a joke.

Kwon: “come on let’s see, let’s see.” “USA.”

He starts chanting “USA” and others join in.

Hawk/Eli begins putting chalk on his shoe, that’s how they get the mark.

Miguel: “this isnt a good idea.”

Hawk/Eli: “Hey, toughest in prison, right? You said that.”

Miguel: “No. No, i didn’t say that. i don’t agree with that idea at all.”

Demetri: “i said that.”

Another from cobra kai walks over.

Yoon: To hawk. “Are you really the best your dojo had to offer?”

Hawk/Eli: “I’m tough enough to kick your punk ass.”

Kwon: “pleaseee. you are not even captain.”

Hawk/Eli looks over.

Kwon: “where is he.”

Robby, who is the males captain walks over.

Robby: “i’m right here. Cmon guys we are leaving.” He says to you guys.

Kwon: “Do you always walk away from challenges?” Looks over at Robby. “or is it because girlfriend is on our team.”

Robby stops and looks over, knowing Kwon is referring to the fact his, girlfriend is fighting for their dojo.

Miguel: “Robby.”

Hawk/Eli: Hands the chalk to robby. “ay, you got this. show em what’s up.”

Robby: “i gotta kick above that live?”

Kwon: “what? to easy for you? okay. let’s make bet then, you kick. and i kick. you win, your dojo gets my room, i win? i get your room.”

Robby: “your on.”

Miguel: “robby-“

Demetri: “you’re gambling our rooms away?!”

Robby: “i’m not gambling i’m getting us an extra room.” *He says confidently before he begins putting the chalk on his shoe.”

Demetri: “he’s gambling. that’s gambling.!”

…

Demetri: “okay, just give it a good running start.”

Hawk/Eli: “okay the russian guy before you, went way too early.”

Demetri: “hey hey! i’m telling him, i know the physics, i’m going to a school world renowned by it. maybe you’ve heard of it(MIT.)

Miguel breaks up their argument, and then Robby gets a running start and gets his kicked line on the cardboard. and then Kwon goes and makes a kick, and gets his line higher than Robby’s.

Robby hands Kwon the key to his room.

You all head into the same room.

Sam: “very smart gamble, boys.”

Demetri: “someone said it wasn’t gonna be a gamble.”

Robby: “i didn’t wanna get involved, i told you(hawk) to stay away from cobra kai.”
