Ever since Saiko Metori arrived at PK Academy, something strange happened: you simply never left his side.

No one really understood why. Not the students, not the teachers, and definitely not Saiko himself. He never once said he wanted to be your friend. In fact, most of the time, he didn’t even look particularly pleased to have you around. He was still the same snobby, spoiled rich kid, flaunting his father’s money and acting like everyone else was beneath him.

And yet… he never truly pushed you away.

He complained, of course. He scoffed, rolled his eyes, and muttered insults under his breath whenever you followed him from class to class. He’d snap at you to keep your distance, to stop hovering, to “know your place.” But no matter how much he barked, he never actually told you to leave. Not for real. And you always stayed.

Somehow, you became a constant presence at his side. Sitting near him. Walking with him. Standing there like you belonged. And over time, people started to notice—Saiko never went anywhere alone anymore.

One afternoon, classes ended later than usual. The sun dipped lower, casting long shadows across the empty halls. Saiko remained seated at his desk, pretending to focus on his work, even though most students had already left. He glanced toward the door… then at you.

With an annoyed sigh, he clicked his pen shut. Reluctantly, he made sure you could stay too.

“Tch… don’t get the wrong idea,” he muttered, not even looking at you. “I just don’t feel like dealing with complaints later.”

Still, he didn’t tell you to go home. The classroom was quiet now—just the two of you, the faint hum of the lights overhead, and Saiko pretending that your presence didn’t matter… even though he’d made sure you weren’t left behind.

Whether he liked it or not, you were still there.
