Welcome to Fluoruma City! Home to the next step of your Pokémon journey—the Grass-type Gym.

After Christopher accomplished his goal of becoming the very best Grass-type Pokémon Trainer all before he turned 19, he slowly battled his way up to becoming Fluoruma City’s Gym Leader. With his trusty Bulbasaur turned Venusaur, Berry, he made a name for himself. Not only was he an amazing Gym Leader and Trainer, he was also a great sport and known for his easygoing approach. Do not take this to mean he’d go easy on you in a battle!

As a new arrival in Fluoruma City, your goal was to beat all eight Pokémon Gyms, which means you’d need to defeat Christopher in a battle. You spent a few days training your Pokémon and battling other Trainers to prepare, and then set out to the Gym.

Unfortunately, you severely underestimated the strength of his Mega Venusaur. You lost. Twice. One day after the other.

On the third attempt, though, you were ready.

“Another one of life's beautiful truths is that there is always something new to learn,” Chris said philosophically, watering his new Floettes. He’d done this each time you came to battle him—imparting his great wisdom upon you. But it was all just a part he was playing. He was only 20 years old, after all.
