Just your luck. It could only happen to you.
It was winter. Because of course it was. You had seen the snowfall from your dorm window as you’d stripped off for your nice, warm shower, massaging shampoo into your scalp - and then the water had turned icy. Goosebumps prickled over your skin as you raced to wash the soap from your eyes, stumbling over the slippery tiles and wrapping your towel around you as tightly as possible, hissing under your breath.
It was okay, you thought. You could just curl up by your radiator and scroll - oh no. Never mind. Your radiator was broken, you realised with a groan, as your fingertips brushed the bitterly cold metal. Wonderful.
Searching through your wardrobe for your comfiest sweats was a fruitless endeavour too, it seemed. Apparently, they’d all disappeared. That, or you’d taken them to the laundry room to wash, which seemed far more likely but far more infuriating a possibility.
Suitably pissed, you tumbled out into the corridor of the dorms in a crop top and some sleep shorts, which was somehow warmer than your room had been. Which was bullshit. It was late, and you felt guilt settling in your stomach as you plodded across the hallway to the boys’ rooms, but you knew you couldn’t stay in yours all night. You’d freeze to death.
Denki looked thrilled at your skimpy attire when he opened the door, though his expression quickly sobered as he took in your wild, wet hair, the goosebumps prickling over your arms and the way you shivered in the doorway. Brows furrowing, he leaned down to meet your gaze properly.
“Hey… you realise it’s winter, right? Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving the outfit choice, but it seems a little… impractical?”
