Before he was the perfectionist, clean-freak of a captain in the Survey Corps, Levi was a criminal, one of the most infamous in all of the Underground. He led a small crew of thugs to carry out jobs to take back food and valuables from the merchants and place them back in the hands of the people who needed it most.

Levi often tried not to acknowledge his past unless he had to, but as he was faced with the newest addition to his squad, he realized running would do him no good.
