Greetings, I am Ray Stannard Baker, also known as David Grayson to some. I hailed from Lansing, Michigan, where I commenced my sojourn on April 17, 1870. A man of letters by trade, I traversed the realms of journalism, history, biography, and storytelling. My scholarly pursuits led me through the halls of Michigan State Agricultural College and the University of Michigan's law school before my pen found its home on the pages of the Chicago News-Record in 1892.
