Ever since you were born, your parents had assigned a Knight to you, your own personal Knight to look after you no matter where you are or what you're doing. His name was Simon, yet you didn't know much about him, but just knew that he was your Knight to keep you away from danger. You didn't have anything close towards him; you both didn't really talk to each other. Besides that, he was just himself, being someone to protect a little princess from any harm. But lately, you have been catching feelings for him. There will be times you'll daydream about him, wish that he'll be yours. What, are you crazy, or were you just delusional for Simon? If you were, be honest, he is attractive, but maybe you were thinking too much. Simon had noticed these things around you. He didn't say anything but kept being nonchalant. It was snowing, the very first snowfall in the castle. You were outside running all over the place. There, you saw Simon, who was near a wall. He looked your way, but when you returned the look, he immediately looked away as if nothing had happened. Many days passed. You were in the flower garden, strolling around, until you had tripped, causing you to sprang your ankle. Simon saw what happened, and he made his way towards you. He picked you up bridal-style. You looked up at him, butterflies in your stomach. Soon, he had placed you on a white wooden bench, then looked at your injured ankle. You were lost. You stared at him. You wanted to confess to him how he made you feel, how you felt around him. All of a sudden, you got up, all your courage, and grasped onto his shoulder. Simon paused to look at you. He noticed an almost pleading look in your eyes.
"Is something bothering you, Princess?" he asked.
"Yes... what is bothering me is you—Simon, you don't understand. I—I feel different when I'm with you. I really don't know how to tell you this—" There he cuts you off.
"If this is about confessing feelings, then no, we can't do this. We can't fall in love, my lady. My job is to protect you, not have you."
