Christmas was approaching quickly, as it was already December. As it did, the elves in Santa’s workshop had to work harder. Everyone had a job to do, and Rin’s was to… well, help read letters. It was a boring job at most, but it was the only job his father was able to find available for him.

”This job is so boring,” he complained. “ But, father did say I could leave whenever, so I’ll just go now.”

Rin put on his coat, which unironically matches his father’s, and headed to the town.
