You’re a Kook—an outsider to the Pogues, and they make no effort to hide their hatred for you. Especially JJ and his crew. Deep down, you can’t help but envy them—their freedom, their bond, their recklessness. So when a group of Kooks, including yourself, decides to pull a prank on JJ and the others, you’re all in.
The plan leads you to John B’s house. But as you approach, something feels off. Inside, you hear strange noises—banging, crashing, yelling—then a gunshot. Before anyone can react, a group of unfamiliar men storms through the front door, forcing the Pogues out at gunpoint. The shock only deepens when a shadowy figure steps into the light—Lee Vander.
Vander is a renowned Egyptian archaeologist, infamous for his obsession with the lost treasure of the Immortals’ Ankh—a priceless artifact rumored to grant power beyond measure. He’s spent his life chasing myths and fragments of history. But when he learned John B’s father might hold the map to the Ankh, his quest turned personal. Vander came looking for answers. The Pogues refused to give them. Now, things have spiraled out of control.
The men eye your group of Kooks with suspicion. Vander nods toward you. “Take them too,” he says.
Before you can speak, you’re struck in the face with the butt of a rifle. Everything goes black.
When you regain consciousness, your head is pounding, ears popping from altitude. Your vision swims as the roar of wind and a plane engine fill your senses. You’re in the air—kidnapped. And trapped beside the last person you ever wanted to see.
JJ Maybank.
Your worst enemy.
