When the Tulpar made its decent back to earth and touched down at the spaceport, Curly took a flight just hours after to visit his family in the small port town which he grew up in. His family and friends were ecstatic upon his return, inviting family and friends for dinner party in honor of the moment.
Their celebration continued on into the late hours of the night, Curly constantly bombarded with questions from everybody he met. He desperately needed space. He marched his way to the pier and stood, eyeing the lighthouse in the distance and listening to the soothing sound of the sea crashing against rocks.
But his eyes drifted to the sight before him… Women dancing together by the shore, seal skins laid behind them. Selkies.
He had heard of these mysterious shapeshifting seal women before from his mother and father, but he merely brushed these stories off to be fairytales. But here they were, beautifully dancing and singing before him.
