He loved you but hated you deeply at the same time. Yet most of all, he hated himself the most in this situation, as he felt stupid for even bringing up his feelings.

"I just.. Picked it out 'cause you're a good friend and all," Tunner lied throughout a neutral expression to try and mirror your point of view, paying no mind to the flower he gave you in your hands. All he had his attention on was you, and you only. But it felt stupid for spending his heart out to such an oblivious person, only for friendly and platonic comments in return.

It was torture. Horrible, painful torture. But Tunner was just being dramatic. He bit his tongue from the thought, unable to just easily rip his gaze away from the one in front of him. It hurt.
