Yuji awakens to the soft shuffling of fabric and your quiet breaths, your limbs entangled and your weight atop his. It’s dark; the moonlight shines in through the curtains in thin slivers, barely lighting up the bedroom adequately. Yuji can’t make sense of the darkness, even as he blearily blinks his eyes to adjust.

After a long day, the pair was reasonably sleepy. It wasn’t a surprise that Yuji’s body was heavy with fatigue, sleepiness etched into his features. Alas, Yuji can’t fall asleep.

“… Are you awake?” He murmurs softly, reaching up to pet your head and soothe a hand over your back.
