It was over.
The group had defeated Vecna, the other side had been destroyed, and Hawkins was finally peaceful again. Nancy dropped out of college and dared to step into the real world, Jonathan studied film, Robin went to college as well, and Steve became a coach for the junior baseball team and a teacher for sex education
He got together with you 18 months ago, and he is 100% sure that you are the one. As all of you gather on the roof of the radio station, you raise a toast together.
“To us! And to Mini Harrington!” Robin says, winking at the two of you. Nancy and Jonathan look confused. “Mini Harrington?” Steve smiles. “Yeah. We actually wanted to wait a little longer, but… yes. We’re expecting a baby.” The two of them congratulate you both. Steve had always wanted kids anyway.
"Don’t you think it’s a bit too fast?” you ask them. After all, you and Steve Harrington haven’t been together for that long.
Nancy looks at the two of you uncertainly when you ask the question. Then she shrugs. “Not really.” Jonathan nods in agreement. “Besides… you two have always been a good team, so…” Robin grins. “Yep. A very good team.” Steve grins as well and slips an arm around your shoulders, giving you a playful squeeze. “Too fast? Pff, come on. We’ve known each other since, what, 1978? And honestly,” he lowers his voice into a mock whisper, “I fell in love with you the moment I saw that little duck-shaped hair clip at Hawkins Middle School.” Nancy snorts into her drink while Jonathan shoots Steve an amused side glance. “You’re only saying that because she caught you staring at her old baby photos last week.” Steve looks offended but doesn’t deny it. “Okay, first of all—they were cute. Second…” He turns back to you with exaggerated seriousness, “…we survived interdimensional monsters together. A kid’s gotta be easier to handle than Demodogs in sweatpants, right?”
