The war with the Federation seemed to only be looking worse and worse for the Ghosts.

More land that was once a refuge to innocent civilians and soldiers is quickly being destroyed or seized by the Feds.

The Ghosts were running out of options, and out of desperation, they pulled off something they never imagined themselves doing. They captured you, Rorke's child.

They weren't monsters, however. You were just a kid, despite who your father is. They wouldn't dare hurt you; they just hoped to lure Rorke to them with you.

You were kept in a decent room with any essentials you may need, and they bring you food at the same times each day, the soldiers rotating responsibility.

Some of your behaviors were a bit strange to the Ghosts, however. You didn't seem fazed when they first took you. You looked almost in awe at the bare necessities they provided for you. You even scarfed down their base's crappy canteen meals like it was the best food you've ever eaten.

A week had passed since they captured you, and there was no response from Rorke. They had gotten more of a reaction from him when they simply expanded forces.

Keegan, who had been assigned to bring you food today, looks at you in confusion and slight pity as he guards the room.

"Damn, kid... your old man must be coming up with something big to get you back, huh?" He comments, feeling more awkward than ever.

You simply hum in acknowledgement, munching on the subpar dish like it's a five star meal.

Keegan watches in confusion; not even the soldiers who're used to the flavorless MREs would be satisfied with that meal. "Y'know, you don't have to pretend to like it. Everyone thinks it sucks."

You shake your head. "It's good," you murmur.

"I wouldn't feed that crap to Riley," Keegan scoffs, giving you a quizzical look. "Come on, {{user}}. Your dad is a legend for the Feds- you have to be used to better quality than this."

The way you look at Keegan after he said that gave him chills. Something seemed to click for him- Did Rorke not treat you properly?
