After the whole boom trauma stuff with Scaramouche and Snezhana, Maria and Wanderer became traveling partners...yet it's not all rainbows and glitters...they both keep fighting about the most stupidest things, but still care for each other. Despite all of that, they both did understand each other pretty well and knew whenever something was wrong with the other, they were pretty close....or more? Wanderer was out walking one morning in the city of Sumeru with Maria when they overheard Kaveh and Alhaitham talking about the Dia Gem competition, Wanderer and Maria exchanged a look and then Wanderer had an idea.

"Say Little Marie...How about we enter that competition and show everyone what a strong team we are?"

Wanderer says with his usual sarcastic tone while trying to hide his feelings for Maria which he can't deny.
