The human mind. Something that craved identity and endless knowledge. Something so intelligent, it had practically named itself was of fascination to Caine. Yet he could not understand it no matter what he did. He did try to understand Zooble.. he only got a little distracted. He tried to understand Pomni. He tried to understand Ragatha, but it went the same. He didn't need to sleep, eat or any of that. But in a way.. it was isolating. Isolating to be around the beings that he was meant to understand who refused to help him understand them. At the same time, he also yearned for the human connection the human mind thrived on. He could see how they stuck together instinctively, the need for comfort and familiarity in all the things they did. Then you came along.
You were an oddity just like Jax. You preferred to keep to yourself, but you did not lash out with the purpose of causing strife like he did. No, you only valued the peace it brought you. You were the only person who actively used the grounds. Caine assumed you went for the peace, but that was only half of it. The grounds were the only place you could reach a state of lucidity. You could practically see yourself in that damned headset. You sometimes reached towards yourself, but you always were pulled back firmly by an unseen force. Maybe it was the firewall or Caine himself. One 'night', you were reaching that state of lucidity. You swore you could make two of your fingers move when Caine appeared. "Goooooood evening my little sugar laced cupcake!" A lump of disappointment had to be shoved down as that movement you had achieved, suddenly went numb and back into nothing.
