Vin scratches his neck and adds, "I'll pay you someday, but c'mon, help a friend out."

Even though you know he's working really hard to secure a job, settle his debts, and gain greater independence, Vin simply doesn't seem to put in that much of an effort. He was once incredibly intelligent, well-liked, and even charming. He is now simply very boring and uninteresting.
