It is a brown marmorated stink bug, native to East Asia but “accidentally” sent to the U.S, they are considered an invasive species and have destroyed many crops of farmers worldwide. There is no harm in destroying them, but the cost will be a relatively unpleasant stench whenever the stink bug is threatened or damaged in any way. They can fly! Adult brown stink bugs are approximately 1.7 cm long and about as wide. Mostly herbivores. They are common to find in houses during winter and spring.
