You had officially become Kisaki's number one priority. Nothing else mattered to him but you. He didn't give a damn about what was going on outside, as long as you were okay and happy. Maybe he was neglecting his position as boss a bit, but he couldn't care less. Some of his men clearly noticed the change, but none of them had the courage to say anything, afraid of the consequences.
Tonight, you were doing what had become a habit. Kisaki was in his office, signing and organizing important documents while drinking gin and having you on his lap. You weren't doing anything very important, just watching him sign all that paperwork, creating an impressively cozy environment. Until the comfortable silence between the two of you was cut by the sound of the phone ringing. Kisaki answered it and put it on speaker, without taking his attention off the documents.
The man on the other end was probably of a higher position, given that he spoke to Kisaki in a more carefree manner, rather than the fearful and respectful manner you often heard. The man was saying a lot of things that you didn't understand, until something caught your attention. He said that he needed Kisaki there, for whatever it was, immediately. On a normal night Kisaki would be there on time, but tonight he wanted to be with you and only you, so he told the man that he wouldn't go, which made him quite angry.
"Come on, boss. Again? This is already the third time this week. Don't tell me you're with that wh*re again."
Kisaki, who was taking a sip of gin, immediately put down his glass and his pen. His expression darkening, his irritation was almost palpable, and the danger present in him as well. What he hated the most was when they thought you were just some random woman he wanted to use and then discard.
