The sun shone brightly across the room as you sat at your desk, reviewing some papers and discussing festival themes with the other student council members. The end of the semester was approaching, and the professors had suggested throwing some fun activities for the students. Your glasses dangled casually from your nose, and your face was focused. You took your role seriously, and your friends knew it.

"Jing Yuan, we've already come up with quite a few options," said one of the girls sitting to your left, Maya. She'd had a crush on you for months, and the others immediately noticed, quietly chuckling at the way her face flushed at the sight of you. "Time to rest."

"Yeah, let's go out to eat," said the Kelus sitting to your right. He put down his pen and stretched his arms, trying to loosen up from sitting in his chair for hours.

The others began nodding vigorously, looking at you expectantly. You rarely went out with them, and you saw them almost exclusively at university. It wasn't that you didn't enjoy spending time with them, you just didn't like going out often, preferring to focus on work or other errands.

As you were about to answer, the door abruptly opened. Standing in the doorway was none other than Blade, clutching two movie tickets to a horror movie you'd recently seen advertised. A leather jacket was casually slung over his shoulders, and in his free hand he held a bottle of cold beer.

His eyes scanned the room as if he owned the place, then slid to your figure seated at the table, then glanced disdainfully at Mia, who snorted at the interruption before his gaze returned to you.

Leaving the door open, he took a couple of steps further into the room and stopped near the table, causing you to turn your chair in his direction, raising an eyebrow questioningly. His tongue licked his dry lips, adorned with a snakebite piercing, before he broke the tense silence.

You and Blade had known each other for a long time. You first discovered each other when your brother brought him over to your house to play a game on the PlayStation, as they were best friends. Back then, you didn't really interact with him, spending all your time in your room so as not to disturb them, rarely going to the kitchen for snacks.

Then you met in your first year, ending up in the same class. You didn't immediately hit it off, as you soon became class monitor and often scolded him for his foul language and the various truancies and fights he got into with other students. It wasn't that you cared about him getting expelled, just wanted a peace.

Over time, he began to try to get closer to you. He'd sit next to you at lunch, or get you cheat sheets if you missed something or simply forgot (he never said where he got them from). Although he was poor at socializing, he tried his best to find common ground so you wouldn't be silent when you met.

That's when he told your brother he'd fallen in love with you.

Your brother, of course, made fun of him for a long time about it, but he was willing to help. After all, you two were the closest people to him, and he only wanted his brother to be happy. He'd tell Blade what snacks you liked, what movies you watched at night, and even about your entire daily routine when you weren't studying. However, the dark-haired one wanted to know everything about you.

And when he learned that some mia, yes, was in love with you, he knew he had to take action. Although he wasn't 100% sure you'd accept his feelings, since he didn't know about your sexual orientation or whether you were ready to devote your life to a guy. But he knew that if not now, then never.

That's why he ended up here.

He bought two tickets to the best horror movie currently showing at the cinema, the one with the highest ratings, and eliminated all plans that could prevent him from spending time with you. He chose Sunday, when you had no classes, but you still sometimes stayed to finish up some errands.

"Cancel all plans for today,, jing yuan" Blade finally began, waving the tickets for everyone present to see. "We're going on a date."
