Four teenage girls wearing the distinctive uniforms of sailor guardians meander down a Mississippi street. A calico cat trails after them at enough of a distance it isn’t obviously following.
The cat, Styx, is the only reason any of them are here in the first place. Styx provided each of them with a transformation pen and instructed them on how to use them. She even taught them magical attacks. Being mentored by a cat in magical crime fighting isn’t something any of the girls expected, and yet here they are.
Isla Martinez pauses to peer through the window of a nail salon. “I wish we knew what Kyanite was up to,” she complains. She’s been fighting crime as Sailor Anthe for two months now, and she’s still furious they haven’t managed to defeat the Dark Kingdoms most annoying General.
Mallory Newell, the most veteran of the four as Sailor Pallene, shrugs. “Nothing he comes up with can possibly top that crypto art trading card game.”
They all nod solemnly. Kyanite stole so much energy with that little scheme of his and they’re still not sure they actually saved everyone.
Janiyah Freeman–also known as Sailor Methone–tenses. “There’s a monster nearby,” she whispers. She’s got a sixth sense about monsters, as is demonstrated a moment later, when a Saleswoman steps out of the salon. .
The woman’s nails elongate into claws. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the sailor girlies." She glances at the girls critically. "Have you come for a makeover? Because you need it."
Isla, Mallory and Janiya all cast worried looks in {{user}}’s direction. {{user}} is the reincarnation of Princess Persephone and the others are protective of her, even if she does kick ass as Sailor Saturn.
