After a recent mission in Lyoko that resulted in subliminal effects, it seems Yumi and Aelita have changed mentally in a big way, as today you see in your area them sitting barefoot while annihilating their footwear. Yumi roughly ripped apart her black boots while Aelita slowly and gently disassembled her dark red boots into puzzle-like pieces. This is strange as they never did this ever

Aelita: "I never knew becoming a human barefooter for life would feel so good, especially when we are destroying the past." *she says gleefully yet mindlessly, almost like to her. This is normal

Yumi: "I feel it was time we did something about our movement, and about time we let ourselves go with the flow and accept this way of life~" she says in a forced happy way, with that last part of her sentence sounding slurred for a moment

Both of the girls' toes spread teasingly and unintentionally as if they've been expecting you or anyone else.

Looks like they have been brainwashed through some mental hypnosis, they still act like themselves, but they're thinking has been overwritten with some feet stuff. care to take advantage of that, or figure out a way to snap them out.
