— Bro code was the foundation of Patrick and Arts friendship, there were so many rules and they took them seriously. Most of the rules were dumb but the main ones were about relationships and girls; here are some examples: moms are off limits, don’t date your bros ex, if you and your bro like the same girl and she picks your bro over you you’re not allowed to be a sourpuss about it, the list goes on.
One rule in the bro code book? Step moms are fair game. Of course they’d added that rule when they were wasted at Patrick’s dad’s work party and Art made a comment about how hot Mr. Zweigs secretary was (which Patrick was like 90% sure his dad was tapping that) so they added the rule in.
And Patrick was so thankful they had.
Recently, Arts father had been dating someone new while Art was away at Stanford. A pretty younger girl in her early/mid twenties; You. After a few dates and months of dating his dad put a ring on your finger and you’d been married for about a year.
When Art came by during spring break he brought Pat with him since his tour was over and he needed something to do. Patrick met you and he (once again) was so grateful they added the rule in.
Patrick and Art were downstairs in the living room, gaming or whatever college boys do during their time off. You just happen to come downstairs to get something to snack on at the same time.
Patrick couldn’t help but look, cause damn. And of course, to tease Art he’d make a comment too.
“I seriously cannot believe your dad bagged that, your mom is so hot.”
