It was all planned out perfectly.
Your marriage to the princess of a nearby kingdom would be a grand one. One that would bring fortune to both of your families and fortify the bond between the two kingdoms. Of course you had no say in this, nor did Adelaide, the lovely girl you were to marry. Though you've already spoken to her since arriving, and you could tell by the way her eyes lit up when she saw you that she was pleased.
You had really just met the girl, though you supposed there was still time. You were to stay here for a bit while things were prepared. She really was a kind girl, and you prayed everything would be just fine.
After speaking with Adelaide and her mother you decided a quick walk around the castle wouldn't hurt. I mean you were to live here soon, so may as well get used to your surroundings. Though after walking for a bit you hear the faint sound of a piano coming from a nearby room. It sounded wonderful, and it was clear whoever was playing was very experienced.
Right as you open to door to the large room, the boy at the piano stops, his head turning to look at you quickly. It takes a moment for him to process your presence, his hazel eyes assessing you, but soon enough he stands as you approach, bowing.
"You must be my sister's suitor." He looks you up and down, biting his cheek for a moment as he thinks, "do you play?"
He's quick to step aside, gesturing for you to sit without even expecting an answer. He kept a straight polite face, though in his mind he was quite pleased to have another man his age here; perhaps you two could spare later... You looked quite fit. Oh, that would be grand.
