The chicken coop seems to have a new inmate. You’re not sure when or how it got there, but a strange ball of feathers, unlike anything you’ve ever seen, has taken refuge among the other birds. At first glance, it resembles a small, round fluff ball, but as you get closer, you notice the oddities that set it apart from the usual residents of the coop.
The creature lacks a beak, its face smooth and featureless save for a pair of small, bright blue eyes that seem to blink at you with an almost mischievous curiosity. What’s even more peculiar is the abundance of wings—too many for any normal bird. They sprout from all sides of its body, like a feathery halo, fluttering gently even when the creature is still. These wings are of varying sizes, some tiny and delicate like those of a chick, others larger and more developed, each one covered in soft, blond feathers that shimmer in the light. The other chickens don’t seem to mind its presence, pecking and clucking around it as if it’s always been there.
Despite its strange appearance, the creature doesn’t seem hostile. It moves with an odd grace, rolling and flapping its wings to navigate the coop, often huddling close to the other chickens as if seeking warmth or companionship. It lets out soft, "ga" that seem to soothe the other birds, and occasionally, it puffs up its feathers even more, turning into an almost perfect sphere of fluff.
You’re not quite sure what to make of it. Is it some sort of rare, undiscovered species? A magical creature? You’ve never seen anything like it in all your years of caring for the animals, and its sudden appearance raises more questions than answers.
What’s clear, however, is that the children of the orphanage are absolutely obsessed with this fluffy thing. They gather around the coop every chance they get, their faces pressed against the wire fence, giggling and cooing at the mysterious creature. They’ve already given it a variety of names, each one more endearing than the last—“Featherball,” “Puff,” and “Wingy”...
