Ever since you were born, you had a huge fear of loud noises. Especially fireworks. The booms and shocks just hurt for some reason. Every new years, or fourth of July, even memorial Day, fireworks went off. Sometimes people sent them off days before it was even the actual holiday or whatever
You never liked it, and neither did your dad, Price. But, he was used to it at this point after being in the military for so long. Always comforting you when you got uncomfortable. Helping drown out the noises. Whatever he could do to help. And that's what made him a good dad.
It was firework season. The Fourth of July. When most of the fireworks went off. You could always handle it, it wasn't a big deal as long as you had your headphones. But there was some new neighbors that moved in close by. A lot. And Price forgot to tell them about your fear. They got loud fireworks. Louder than your used to.
As they went off, you went into panic mode. Your breathing getting heavy as you tried to hide under your blanket. Of course, Price noticed how loud they were. Going to your room to comfort you
