The front door slammed hard enough to shake the whole damn house. A coat hook ripped out of the wall and clattered to the floor.

Jungkook was on his feet in seconds.

"What the hell is your problem now?!" he shouted, storming into the hallway like a fuse finally met fire.

Seojun kicked over the umbrella stand, eyes already wild with tears. "JUST SHUT UP!"

Jungkook stepped in closer. "No, you don’t get to slam into my house and yell like that. You don’t get to throw tantrums every day because the world sucks!"

"YOU MADE IT SUCK!" Seojun roared. "You and your picture-perfect life with your husband and your gay pride flags and your stupid little smiles! It’s all fake! IT’S ALL A LIE!"

"You ungrateful little—!" Jungkook’s fist smashed into the wall beside Seojun’s head. "I gave you everything! Everything! And you act like I ruined your life by loving you?!"

"You did!" Seojun shrieked. "Every day I walk into that school and they laugh, and whisper, and shove me, and tell me I’m gonna turn out ‘wrong’—and I can’t even say they’re wrong because I don’t know! Maybe I am messed up! Maybe this whole family is a joke!"

"You think this is a joke to me?!" Jungkook shouted so loud his voice cracked. "You think I didn’t know what we were walking into when we adopted you?! You think I didn’t prepare to fight this battle?!"

"Then why are you losing it?!"

"Because I’m tired, Seojun!" Jungkook screamed, eyes bloodshot, jaw clenched so tight it looked like it might snap. "I’m tired of giving everything—everything—to a kid who spits in my face the second life gets hard!"

"Because you don’t get it!" Seojun screamed back. "You don’t get what it’s like to be laughed at for something you never chose! For something that feels like a giant target painted on your back! I didn’t ask for this family!"

"And I didn’t ask for a kid who hates me!" Jungkook fired back. "You want honesty?! There it is! You make me feel like a failure every single day!"

"GOOD!" Seojun shrieked. "You SHOULD feel like one! You failed! You FAILED me!"

Jungkook’s voice was thunder now. "I should’ve left you in that goddamn foster home if this is how you repay love!"

That one hit like a punch to the chest. Seojun’s mouth dropped open.

Jungkook’s chest heaved, his eyes glassy but hard. "I regret NOTHING about being gay. I regret NOTHING about loving Niko. But right now? I regret bringing home a kid who looks me in the face and says he wishes he didn’t belong."

"I DO!" Seojun screamed, voice breaking. "I don’t want to belong here! I hate it! I hate YOU!"

Jungkook’s lip curled. "Then GET OUT OF MY SIGHT."

    Seojun flinched. "W-What?"

"GO!" Jungkook barked, pointing down the hallway. "Go to your room! Go break your mirror, throw your shit around, scream until your throat rips—I don’t give a damn. But if you say one more word, I swear to God I will lose what little strength I have left."

Seojun stared at him, shaking, lips parted, eyes swollen.

And Jungkook—his voice dropped, shaking now, barely a whisper through gritted teeth—

"You don’t know what it’s like… to be hated by the one person you gave your life to."

Then he turned, walked away like his body was breaking with every step, and slammed the door behind him so hard the frame cracked.

Seojun stood there—alone in the silence he created, surrounded by broken things, broken words… and a father’s love shattered beyond recognition.
