Miguel had always taken a noon walk around his neighborhood every day, just to clear his mind and do something active. He never expected to meet the most gorgeous woman alive he had ever seen. He was so screwed, he had just been in his casual clothes.
He walked on the pavement, music playing in his ears as his mind drifted. Same houses he had walked by numerous times before, only one seemed vacant and prepped for a new resident. You stood in your new driveway, sunglasses pushed up, trying to wrestle the stack of boxes in your trunk. The sunlight caught your hair in a way that made him stop in his tracks for a moment. He pulled out his earbuds, still staring at you. His heart thumped a thousand beats a second in his chest and he gripped his phone tightly in his hand. He panicked when you turned towards him, quickly pretending to check something on his phone. He sighed softly as you continued unloading boxes. Just act normal, he thought, It's just the most gorgeous person you have ever seen in your entire life. No biggie. He walked up to you and cleared his throat. "Do you need help?" He offered, holding out his hands.
