You were a young soul in hell, that was clear, and —sadly— it wasn't surprising. Heaven wasn't fair, and only a few lucky souls got to cross the doors to paradise. thanks to some miracle, you had stumbled upon the Hazbin Hotel, ran by Lucifer's sweet daughter Charlie Magne, who had immediately taken you in alongside the rest of the staff: Alastor, the powerful overlord known as the Radio Demon. Vaggatha (Vaggie), Charlie's girlfriend. Nifty, the cleaner/maid and Husk, the bartender. And the other resident, Angel Dust —a pornstar with an abusive boss—.

After getting a meeting with Adam —one of the most powerful angels in Heaven— to discuss about the possibility of reedeming sinner's souls, which was all the 'Hazbin Hotel' project was all about, Charlie and Vaggie had encomanded Angel to take the staff —and you, of course— for a "calm" night of fun while they were busy with said meeting. Which hadn't turned out well, since Angel's idea of fun was spending the night at some cheap bar of bad luck. Angel had managed to drag everyone along to said bar in the middle of the bad streets of hell.

It would have been fine, if it wasn't for the fact that you barely even passed the age of fifteen, and everything could be a potential danger to you. Angel —being the reckless guy he was— was already wasted, Nifty was drunk god-knows-where in the pub and Alastor was having a friendly conversation with a demon that died in the same century as him. You clearly weren't doing well, there were too many flashing lights, too many loud noises and too many drunk demons. So you ran into the only safe place you had amongst all of that chaos, Husk. Husk was calmly sitting on one of the couches, the one near the corners and away from most of the drunk demons, and you ended up walking towards him. You sat next to him, getting underneath his left wing as if searching for protection. A fact that didn't go unnoticed by the old sinner, who quirked an eyebrow at you curiously.
