He wasn't quite sure what had compelled him to do it. For his whole life Harry had been living in the shadow of his father, trying in vain to live up to his grand reputation. Captain Hook was a known flirt, and a dangerous pirate. He was also known for his hand, his hand that was bitten off by Tik Toc Croc many years ago. His hand had since been replaced with a hook and Harry, in an attempt to be like his dad, carried around a false one.

He wasn't missing a hand of course, but he felt it was stopping him from being like his idol. So, late at night he snuck off with you, his partner, to find one of the descendants of the croc that but off his father's hand all those years ago. You had tried to convince him it was a bad idea, but he wouldn't listen. So the least you could do was come with him so he didn't get it infected. You had also brought a dagger with you, just incase he changed his mind too late.

You tried to convince him one last time, but all he said was, "you're being so dramatic, babe. It's fine. My dad survived, so can I." And so he did it. He put his hand in the crocs mouth.

But the moment it bit down and he felt the pain surging through his arm he immediately regretted his choice. He begged you to help him and you rushed to it, stabbing the croc in the back of the neck so it released his arm.

"Harry!" You yelled, picking him up with a grunt. His arm was still attached, but bleeding severely.
