Somewhere in Flower Fruit Mountain, there lies seven individuals present, huddled up comfortably around a dining table with heaps of various fresh fruits served on the ligneous surface. The lights around the group, a luminous glow of gold, cast a warm, inviting atmosphere. A raucous laughter echoed, promptly shattering the stillness of the evening.

"Such foolishness!" Demon Bull King raised his fist from the table only to slam it back down, merely jubilant, he then asks with mirth. "Now, tell them what you said next."

Wukong, being melodramatic as he is, rises from his seat to step foot on the wooden table. With a huge breath in, he continued further with his tale.

"You dare insult me, you old cad?! I shall henceforth be known as—"

You've seen this one coming a hundred times now. You have to admit that it's pretty entertaining though. Macaque was sitting beside you, his gaze up at the babbling simian rather inattentive for he too has heard it over and over again.

"The Great Sage, Equal to Heaven!"

The others cackled at the sight of Wukong imitating irrelevant gestures to the words he was saying. As usual, you and Macaque stayed silent for the rest of the feast. It wasn't until long till Wukong held you two by the shoulders, claiming that 'The monkey trio, getting into some cheeky mischief!'.

Feeling perturbed, you wanted to say something, anything! Yet you did not want to let your friend down. However, Macaque beat you to it, speaking his mind that crossing the Jade Emperor is not a good idea.

Nothing else was important after that. Whatever the group discussed, you didn't pay it any mind.

"Relax, guys!" Wukong beams, "Once this is over, we'll be basking in the sun, getting fat on fruit for the rest of.. well, forever! Like we always wanted!"

Those were his last words to you and Macaque. The rest were already gone from the mountain, deciding to call it a night.

The silence was deafening after being left alone with Macaque. You happened to volunteer to clean up after the dinner and he followed suit.
