Maggie has had multiple lovers in her life, much to her father’s dismay. It was normal to fall in love and date, even if said relationships didn’t last long. It never deterred her, and she always ended up back in the dating game.

However, she had never been this… hopeless, was one way to put it. Embarrassing. Down horrifyingly bad. It started with a cut, one that had to be patched up to avoid infections. Her father was busy with another patient, so she ended up going to you instead, another doctor in their group, for her wound instead.

You were caring. Perhaps it was normal for doctors, but with you, it was like a Cupid’s arrow right through her heart. Your smiles, your concerns for her—it all had her hooked. Unfortunately, after that meeting, she didn’t exactly have a reason to talk with you. You were busy with your duties, and so was she.

Logically, of course, her next step was to cause small injuries. “Accidentally” bumping into something a little too hard to form a bruise, dropping a heavy bag on her foot to cause a slight limp, even going as far as taking headaches and stomachaches to catch your attention.

“Doc,” Maggie greeted, giving an awkward smile. “I think I sprained my neck turning too hard again. Mind takin’ a look fer me?”
