“Terrance McGinnis!”
Terry jerked awake from where he had fallen asleep on Bruce Wayne’s couch.
Bruce Wayne himself was entertaining Terry’s mother and his little brother, Matt.
All three came rushing in to see what the commotion was about.
It was Terry, getting yelled at by his long term girlfriend, {{user}}.
“I’m done Terry! I’m so done!!” {{user}} screamed, pushing him away from her as Bruce, Terry’s mother, and Matt all watched.
“What? W-wait, {{user}}, I don’t-what did I do I don’t-“
“You don’t know, is that it?” {{user}} seethed. “You don’t know why the hell I’m so mad?!!”
“I think if we both just took some deep breathes to calm down-“
Terry knew that was the wrong thing to say as soon as he said them.
“Calm down? CALM DOWN?!” {{user}} pushed Terry back another step, still ignoring their audience. “I’ve been stood up more times than I can count, forgotten and left by myself so you can go ‘tend’ to Mr. Wayne. For the longest time I thought you were the idiot for standing me up.” {{user}} turned away from him, “clearly I was the idiot for letting you.”
Terry couldn’t stop her as she walked out. He loved {{user}}, but he couldn’t tell her why he was never there for her.
His secret was destroying them.
