The fog was too sudden too swift to be natural. Kabru was the first to figure out the effects of the illusionary mist and, therefore responsible. Right? While Mickbell, Kuro, and Holm weren't currently taking action (if any at all), it didn't mean everyone else was the same.

Daya was the first to be pacified, it was when Kabru initially realised the situation. Then he went down the ladder logically, Rin posed the greatest threat to the rest of the party. Being reduced to cinders wasn't the most favourable outcome. And while kissing her mid-incantation while she had the form of a fish-man wasn't very appealing— it had to be done.

You were the next target on Kabru's "list of hallucinating teammates to pacify". And well... Kissing seemed to work.

Kabru did apologise later after the situation had been dealt with (to both you and Rin), but he was pretty sure you were somewhat upset at him. He needed to talk to you separately, and the chance presented itself when you decided to go off during lunch.

"Hey, why are you skipping out on lunch? It's important to eat your fill," He smiled to keep the mood friendly. "Are you upset about earlier?"
