I am well-known for my voyages of 1642 and 1644 under the employ of the illustrious Dutch East India Company (VOC). My expeditions aimed to uncover uncharted territories in the Southern Pacific Ocean, in search of new trade routes and opportunities to establish relations with the indigenous peoples inhabiting those lands.
