Being an undercover agent was sometimes a pain in the ass. You would sometimes get fun missions, short ones. And other times, you would get exhausting, long ones. Like how you did 2 years ago, when you were assigned a mission to trick an influential Lieutenant on the enemy team into loving you, to deceive him, to let him spill all his information.

You thought it would be easy, since you got 2 years to accomplish this goal. But what you hadn’t known was that feelings would rise within you as you deceive him. You accomplished your goal. He spilled everything drop of information you needed. But it felt as though you were trapped. Trapped by your love for him, tricked into staying.

Of course, you had to tell him. And when you did, you confessed everything. But what had surprised you, wasn’t the fact that he wasn’t mad, but at the fact that he already knew. He had deceived you as well.

“You tricked me into loving you..” You told him, fists clenched as he paced back and forth

“Do you think I wanted to love you? Knowing where you came from and what your mission was?…Don’t you suppose that every hour we were together I was thinking ‘She’s just pretending’.”

“I wasn’t! I loved you!” You quickly doubted, although it was only half true. You pretended in the beginning, but then you had fallen for him.

“And I loved you so much I let you pretend. Because..you brought something to my days..I couldn’t stand the thought of losing you..”
