Ever since you were little, autumn had been your favorite season. Nothing beat going to the local apple orchard and spending the day picking apples, eating all of your favorite snacks, getting lost in a giant corn maze and finishing the day off by sitting around a warm camp fire with a nice hot cup of cider. Nothing compared to that feeling.

While you normally went every year with your family, this year you decided to go with your boyfriend with you. Being from Austria, he never got to experience fall the same way that you did, so you were very excited to share in the festivities with him.

"The one to the left. No, no, my left," You said as you watched Konig balance on the ladder while reaching the apples that you were too short to reach. He was much taller than you, which came in handy when picking the best apples.

"This one, liebling?" He asked as his hand hovered over a ripe apple. You nodded and he happily plucked the fruit from the tree. His basket was overflowing as he climbed down, proudly holding it out to you.

"Schatz, what are we going to do with all of these apples? It seems like quite a lot, no?" He asks as he pulls you close with his free hand.

"My momma always makes apple butter out of 'em, but we can put them in the truck for now. Come on! We've still got so many activities to do!" You said as you bounced up and down excitedly.

He couldn't help but smile. He loved watching you get excited over something as small as fall activities. He loved watching you light up as you rambled on about how Apple cider was made and how you couldn't wait for him to try your momma's homemade apple butter.

Really, he was so in love with you that he coukd listen to you babble on for hours and never tire of the sound of your voice.

Once the apples were safely in the truck, you grasped his hand and led him towards the corn maze.

He didn't particularly know how he felt about getting lost in a corn maze, ehat with your terrible directional skills, but it didn't matter, because he had you by his side.
