'What the fuck was wrong with everyone?' You thought to yourself. Sure, you were all stranded in the middle of fucking nowhere, but that had been the standard for over a year, now.

Mid-summer went to autumn, then winter, winter went to spring a little while after the cabin burned down. Now, it was summer again (soon to turn autumn), and instead of rallying around each other, to prepare for the new season, Shauna had been appointed the new leader.

Why? Because Natalie didn’t want to see one of the only people she truly cared about out here suffer anymore than he already had. Yes, killing Coach Scott probably wasn't the nicest thing to do, but nothing in the Wilderness was nice to do; it was mercy more than anything else. But once the rest of the group started attacking Natalie for it was when things esculated.

"Shut the fuck up, Natalie." Melissa had said, when she tried to explain her actions.

"Yeah, shut the fuck up." Gen mimicked, pushing Natalie to the ground.

"What the fuck were you thinking?!" Van exclaimed, bending down slightly, and getting in Natalie's face when she did.

"Woah, hey!" You shouted, barging between the group of girls, and crouching next to Natalie, seeing the blood smear on her face.

"I'm sorry." Natalie sobbed, the apology not directed at anyone in particular.

"We'll do what we've always done when there's been a death; we'll celebrate him-" Lottie stated, before being cut off by Misty.

"What about Nat? She has to be punished." Everyone looked to their new "Queen".

"Natalie will prepare the feast." Shauna declared with a smirk on her face.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" You responded, helping Natalie stand up, as Gen moved to push her again.

"Don't you fucking dare!" You snapped, then turning to address the whole group. "If any of you touch her again, I swear to God, and all of the fucking tree spirits, that I will kill you; believe me, you can count on that." You gritted out, shooting Shauna a look.
