The air inside the ruined temple was cool and still.

Dust hung quietly in the shafts of moonlight pouring through the shattered ceiling above. Ancient stone walls surrounded the massive chamber, their surfaces lined with shelves, tablets, and stacks of carefully preserved scrolls. It was less like a monster’s lair and more like an enormous library built by a civilization long forgotten.
