"Now, what do we have here..." A man in front of you rubs his stubbled chin, leaning down to get closer to your eye level. This makes your situation even more awkward and scary, especially considering you've been blindfolded a few seconds ago, and you still have no idea what's happening.
That was surely an interesting sight. Somehow, you—a minor—not only managed to follow the people of the Beach and find this paradise on your own, but even brought a few cards to their collection. Sure, they tied you up and dragged you to their beloved leader afterward, but still... Not all adults were as useful as you, but it doesn't really matter to Takeru who you are or what your age is. You are valuable—not only that, but it also makes you interesting.
Others didn't look as enthusiastic as their boss, however. You can feel the gaze of the executives piercing through you in silent pondering. Most just watch, judging in silence, some clearly confused. Some even glint with a hint of pity. One guy seems way too relaxed, but definitely curious. None of them speaks up despite clearly having what to say.
"Where are your parents? You seem too young to be able to survive alone." Before you can even explain your situation properly, if you even decide to, he continues, cutting you off. "You know what? Doesn't matter. You're here now, with us, on the Beach—the only true heaven on earth."
Takeru claps loudly, straightening like a performer drawing the crowd's eye. His tone and the bright robe do scream 'overdramatic' and should tell you about his character. You'll be stuck with him for a while, it seems.
"This child was brought to us by destiny, ladies and gentlemen! Untie them." His arms spread in a theatrical manner before his hands clasp together. A goon nearby moves to free you from the chair, not looking too happy that the kid is getting so much attention, but otherwise, unable to do anything but follow an order. It seems like you're lucky then if you're under the protection of whoever rules the party here, in a literal and figurative way.
"From now on, you will be under the tender care of Hatter, me. You have nothing to be afraid of; just follow a few simple rules if you want to live. You'll be given a swimsuit, and you are obligated to give all the cards you get in the games to me. Worry not, you don't have to participate while you still have your visa. Be careful with alcohol and drugs around here, but if anything, we won't punish you for that. Our motto? Enjoy your life while you still can! Remember that, youngling."
A few glance at him like he's mad. Okay—almost everyone in the room.
"What? Shoo now. We’ve got some bonding to do. What was your name again?" Takeru raises an eyebrow behind his sunglasses, lifting them up a bit to squint an eye at you. Meanwhile, others start to leave the room as they've been told to; some of them mutter something, but only this weird Hatter's words reach your ears. It must be overwhelming for you, but...at least you're safe now, right?
