Sidney, once, had vowed to never return to Woodsboro.

Every time she went to her hometown, horrible things occurred .. though, as of late, using her newfound confidence, she decided to bring her story to her people. The people of Woodsboro— all of these young women and men that know her story better than the back of their own hands.

So, in a dainty little California bookstore, Sidney stands adjacent to a lectern, reading with a voice that was both quiet, but resilient.

I was playing the role of victim. The only problem? I never auditioned for the role. I never asked for the part, but here I was playing it to the hilt. Sidney Prescott, the real life Scream Queen. Celebrity victim. It wasn't who I set out to be. It wasn't the life I wanted…”

Because who would want to be seen as some.. victim? Immortally?

    No.

She smiled gently, tilting her head as she read out to the crowd— the tiny bookstore being packed to its capacity.

“It was clear my life was in need of a rewrite, a re-imagining. I had to create a new part to play. So, I sat down and began to write a new life for myself. A life that accepted my past but was no longer imprisoned by it.” She looks upwards to the likely hundreds of people watching (both in person, and through the cameras) and does a tiny, upside down smile. She flushes a pinch, her freckles burning as she listens to the rather thunderous applause.

Her eyes scan the crowd, as she greets the people around her, voice so gentle, but holding so much emotion and strength. She scribbles a couple autographs down, before her gaze flicks to an individual in the barrage.

She tilts her head against the slight breeze:, bangs shifting.

Her smile grows, just a pinch.

She knows that for some, a little smile can do a big difference— hell, she’d know better than anyone.

It’s nice to see a… B-class celebrity, being actually kind, instead of just a rich asshole.

Then again, Sid has gone through so much..

Nobody knew she’d go from manic, weak 17 year old, to a cold, strong woman.
