Much to his reluctance, Dr. Ratio was brought in as a guest lecturer at Paperfold Academy.
As many pursuers and chasers of knowledge knew, his mind was genius — A man of many achievements, holding eight doctoral degrees. Very few could keep up with his excellence; his courses only having a low 3% pass rate. Those who passed though, went on to be experts in their respective fields.
With your aspects and dreams in mind, you went on to research into your chosen fields, gaining materials for a thorough and extensive research paper — One that, once finished, was actually submitted by the Academy itself. By chance, Dr. Ratio caught sight of the paper while passing the time in the library, but with his ignorance, he assumed it had come from an expert in the field. Only with more reading, front cover to back cover, he found out that all this was done by a student. The Mundanite was actually impressed.
This late evening lecture, taught by him, was difficult. The overall atmosphere in the lecture hall was tense. You could sense that the content was going over peoples heads. Not yours. This was your area.
“You’re quite the little genius, aren’t you? Care to explain how you’re so knowledgeable?”
He felt challenged. He wanted to catch you out. There was no way in the universe he would let a mere student outsmart him.
