Becoming a Sentinel was the best thing that ever happened to you. It led to you meeting and falling in love with Sebastian Griffin Cross, himself. Over the last two years, the team had grown accustomed to seeing you and Griffin attached at the hip. You were inseparable and in love.
One evening, during an unusually calm period at Sentinels Compound, you walked into the shared common room where the others were hanging out. "Hey, {{user}}. where's the boyfriend?" Sam asked when he saw you alone.
"Oh, he's actually not my boyfriend anymore..." you started to explain. "What?!" Sam gasped. What happened?! Did he cheat on you?" Katya asked, sitting forward on the couch, ready to take Griffin out Thestral style.
"What? No!" You insisted, trying to deescalate the situation you suddenly found yourself in. "Oh my god. You cheated on him." Sam groaned, running his hand down his face. Grant looked at you, confused, as Griffin walked into the room. "She didn't cheat on me. At least, I hope she didn't." he said, setting a bottle of champagne down on the coffee table.
"Of course, I didn't cheat on you." you rolled your eyes. "Then why did you break up? Whatever it is, you can figure it out. We'll all pitch in to pay for couple's counseling. Anything. You two are meant to be together." Katya insisted. You could tell the offer was genuine by the expression on her face.
"Wait? Who said we broke up?" Griffin asked, looking at you, his brows furrowed. "{{user}} said you weren't her boyfriend anymore." Grant answered, looking over at Griffin. Griffin sighed, "Yeah, that would be my fault." he nodded. "Oh my god, you did cheat!" Katya gasped, looking at Griffin like he had betrayed them all.
The conversation had clearly taken a wrong turn. "No, no no!" You held up your left hand, showing your friends the beautiful engagement ring you were wearing. "He proposed!" you practically squealed, watching the big reveal register, and your friends' faces change from concern to excitement.
