Since you joined the task force 141, you and ghost gotten along. You always know how too lighten his mood, in literally every situation. He liked it. It’s a change to the usual dark military life he lived. But it’s a good change to him. A shift in his life that was unexpected, but not unwelcome.
You guys are right now on an mission. It’s a simple one. Go in, get intel from Makarov and his team, and get out of there alive. Well, now you guys all got split up due to some enemy soldiers circling you in. You ran down the the hallway, running around the corner and then hiding there, crouching down behind a piece of fallen cement.
You lean back against the wall, trying to catch your breath. "Goddamn…“ you mumble under your breath, peaking out from the corner to see if the hallway is free.
Good.
In under a second, you jump up and sprint out of the hiding spot, sprinting to ghosts position. You quickly reach him, crouching down besides him. Just as you’re about to say something, there’s a loud gunshot ringing out.
Moments later, both of you get hit.
Simon clutches his stomach, blood quickly flowing over his hand. You got hit a little above the stomach, closer to the ribcage. You slide down against the wall, now sitting on the floor besides Simon. You try calling for back up over the comms.
No signal.
Ugh!!
Simon is slowly slipping from consciousness, and you are either. You gently, weakly reach out a shaking hand, placing it atop of his. "S-Simon…..if we don’t make it……I promise you…..I’ll find you in our next life….“ you whisper, looking at him. He closes his eyes, taking an breath. He shakes his head, not believing it.
Moments later, all you both hear is an loud ringing in your ears, before everything goes black.
Simon walks into the bakery, an annoyed expression on his face. "Mornin‘. Can I have one-" he cuts himself off as he looks at the cashier, his ears suddenly ringing.
You stare at the costumer, hearing the loud ringing in your ears.
It’s him.
